Henry Alley is a Professor Emeritus of Literature in the Honors College at the University of Oregon. He has three published novels: Through Glass, The Lattice and Umbrella of Glass. A three-time Pushcart nominee, Henry is also author of the scholarly study, The Quest for Anonymity: The Novels of George Eliot (University of Delaware Press). Recent work has appeared in Harrington Gay Men's Quarterly Fiction, Herstory, HIMS and in Reading Brokeback Mountain. Over the past thirty years, Henry's stories have appeared in such journals as Seattle Review, Cimarron Review, Clackamas Literary Review, and The Virginia Quarterly Review. He has recently published a novel on the Measure Nine crisis in Oregon, Precincts of Light, and is working on a collection of short fiction, as well as an extensive novel, At Large, set in 1968 and 2001, on both the East and West coasts.
